Beautiful quality Imanishi selected Ohira asagi tenjou. Quality bench stone suitable for knives and capable of finishing straight razors producing an extremely comfortable shaving edge. Excellent for knives without scratching the steel as would be the case with a harder stone. Sealed with cashew lacquer and of course lapped and ready to use.

Note the distinctive chisel marks on the back of the stone. Generally accepted that the miner of the stone paid particular interest recognising its quality. There are a lot of questionable stones for sale at the moment.. The quantity and the prices suggest otherwise..
